Introduction

As we know, the world can be a very dangerous place with international voyagers becoming victims of theft & violent crime every day. This course is designed & delivered by security professionals with decades of combined UK civil police & maritime security experience worldwide. The thrust is to provide mariners with an insight into the potential threats to personal safety & security that they may unwittingly face when visiting countries around the globe and to provide them with skills & tactics to avoid potentially dangerous situations thereby reducing the risk of them becoming a victim of violent crime or theft. Further, the course also provides attendees with advice on surviving dangerous incidents such as kidnap & hijack situations should the worst happen.

Qualifications

Candidates will achieve a certificate in maritime related personal safety & security issued by EOS Risk Management LTD.

Opportunities

This course is suitable for those employed in the maritime industry or general travellers venturing around the world & who wish to stay safe & to avoid becoming a victim. All employers have a duty of care towards their staff & this training could meet insurance requirements & potentially lower premiums. There is no prior training or experience required. However, basic literacy and numeracy are required due to course content & knowledge of the maritime industry would be useful.
