Crime Scene and Forensic Evidence Preservation
Introduction
This course has been designed to be delivered to all frontline workers who may, whilst performing their jobs, come across a crime scene e.g. passenger vessel crew and yacht crew etc. The course was created with the cruise industry in mind in consultation with a number of law enforcement agencies and has been written by a former UK police detective to be as user friendly as possible, as well as equipping the candidates with the basic skills required to preserve a crime scene and evidence prior to police involvement and to document that evidence.
Course Content
The course is run over 2 days and covers:
• Background & legislation
• Types and sources of forensic evidence
• Defining, assessing & preserving a crime scene
• Contamination & cross contamination
• Packaging & labelling evidence
• Securing & coordinating evidence
Qualifications
Successful candidates will achieve a certificate in Crime Scene and Forensic Evidence Preservation awarded by Eos Risk Management Ltd.

There is no prior training or experience required. However, the ability to read and write English and basic numeracy are required due to course content.
