Cameroon/CAR: Officials Close Border with Central African Republic
Land border closes between Cameroon and CAR
On 17 July, government officials closed Cameroon’s land border with the Central African Republic (CAR), following a wave of deadly attacks between Seleka and anti-Balaka rebel groups nearer the eastern border.
Defer all non-essential travel to areas within 5km of the eastern border with CAR. Contract a reliable local security escort for extended rural travel. Reroute any travel that intended to cross the border between Cameroon and CAR.
