A terrorist, who rammed a police van on the Champs-Elysees with a car filled with weapons and gas, is dead. His car reportedly burst into flames moments after he deliberately hit the police van. The man was stripped to ensure he was not concealing a suicide bomb. Kalashnikovs, handguns and gas bottles were found in the boot of his car. There were no other injuries. France remains under a state of emergency that has been repeatedly extended following the Charlie Hebdo massacre, Paris attacks, Nice attack and series of murders by members and supporters of Islamic State.
