France: Tourists Robbed Outside Paris Airport Hotel
20 tourists robbed by men armed with tear gas
Up to 20 tourists were robbed of their belongings and luggage over the weekend outside a Paris airport hotel, after masked men armed with tear gas launched an assault as the victims were waiting for a shuttle bus. The thieves arrived in two vehicles at the hotel near to Charles de Gaulle airport and robbed the French, American and Moroccan tourists. This is not the first case of a robbery near to an airport hotel. Hotels around the airport, as well as the motorway leading to Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget, are frequently targeted by thieves.
Those who plan to stay in hotels near to airports in Paris are advised to be aware of a string of robberies taking place. Remain aware of the threat of robbery. Be vigilant and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.
