Libya: Deadly Clashes Reported in Sabha
One killed and five injured in tribal clashes
At least one person has been killed and five others injured, including two children, after gunmen from a rival tribe exchanged gunfire for several hours in Sabha. The cause of the clashes is not immediately clear, although tensions remain heightened across most of the country.
It is advisable to defer all non-essential travel to Libya. There are several rival factions battling for control in the country and violent clashes take place on an almost daily basis and personal safety cannot be guaranteed. Those in Libya are advised to take advantage of commercial flights whilst they are still operating.
