Madagascar: Bus Crash Leaves Dozens of Dead in Ankazobe
At least 34 killed in bus crash
At least 34 people have been killed, after a bus carrying Christian worshippers en route from Soavinandriana to Mahajanga fell into a river in Ankazobe. Road accidents are common in the country. A disregard for safety regulations and poor road conditions increases the risks associated with overland travel in Madagascar. Those operating or residing in the country are advised to consider using luxury and reputable bus lines when possible, due to the dangers involved with travelling on regular public transport.
