Malaysia: Flooding Triggers Evacuations in Parts of Pahang State
64 people evacuated after torrential rain results in serious floods
At least 64 people have been evacuated from villages in Temerloh and Raub districts in Pahang State, after overnight torrential rain inundated their villages with water, flooding streets and houses.
Those operating or residing in Pahang state are advised to be aware of the serious floods caused by torrential rain. Residents or travellers are therefore warned to prepare for possible further flooding in the above-mentioned areas in the next 24-hours. Rearrange any travel routes to avoid the worst affected areas. Monitor local media for more information regarding the flooding. Follow all directives issued by the authorities and maintain a flexible itinerary until the floods pass.
