Malaysia: Score of Foreign Nationals Arrested in Kuala Lumpur
400 foreign nationals arrested
Local police have reported that over 400 people, mostly Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian nationals, have been arrested during multiple raids across Kuala Lumpur. The raids targeted foreign nationals with fraudulent immigration documents and/or those with suspected links to Islamic State (IS). Further details were not immediately available.
Whilst the likelihood of a terror attack remains low, it does remain a possibility due to the growing influence of Islamic State in south-east Asia and among Malaysian radicals. Report any suspicious packages, behaviour or activity to the authorities and remain vigilant.
