Mexican authorities have announced that Mexico City International Airport (MEX/MMMX) was closed from 18:40 local time on 30 August, due to heavy rainfall which was triggered by the approach of Tropical Cyclone Fourteen E. The Cyclone is projected to make landfall in Baja California Sur late on 31 August. Local authorities have issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in Cuajimalpa Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Mdero municipalities in Mexico City.

Those planning to fly to or from Mexico City are advised to be aware of cancellations to flights due to heavy rainfall.
