Moldova: Airport Closed Due to Severe Weather Conditions
Airport in Chisinau closed due to severe weather conditions
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has issued a travel warning to advise that unexpected severe winter weather conditions in Moldova have forced the international airport in Chisinau to close until further notice. The local authorities in Chisinau have also declared a general emergency and advised all persons to remain at home due to the severe conditions.
Those operating or residing in Moldova are advised to be aware of the closure of the airport and cancellations to flights due to severe weather. Reconfirm all flight schedules with booking agents or airline representatives before setting out. Plan all travel accordingly during this time.
