Authorities advise to prepare for extreme weather as Cyclone Cook approaches
New Zealand is bracing for severe weather with Tropical Cyclone Cook expected to lash the country this week. The serious weather event is expected to impact New Zealand between 13-14 April. States of local emergency have been declared in the Bay of Plenty Region and Thames-Coromandel District. The MetService has warned locals to prepare for power shortages and road blocks.
Those operating or residing in New Zealand are advised to prepare for the arrival of Cyclone Cook. Follow the advice of the local authorities until the storm has passed and proceed with caution.
