Nigeria: Authorities Begin Ebola Screening at Airports
Ebola screening in place at Nigerian airports following an outbreak in the DRC
Following an outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), a spokesman for the Nigerian government has announced that Ebola screening measures, including thermal imaging machines, have been put into place for international flights through airports nationwide. Travellers from the DRC exhibiting any signs of the illness may be taken aside for more thorough checks.
Those who plan to fly to, from or within Nigeria are advised to be aware of increased checks and associated disruptions through airports nationwide, until further notice. All additional time for check in procedures and follow the advice of the authorities.
