On 25 April, the North Korean Army has fired rockets and torpedoes at mock enemy warships, during their largest ever live-fire artillery drills in a show that they are ready for war. To celebrate 85 years since the army was created, hundreds of tanks lined up along the eastern coastal town of Wonsan as 300 large-calibre artillery pieces, including submarine torpedoes, fired in a show of military might. On 26 April, South Korea conducted joint military live-fire drills with the US at the Seungjin training field near to the border with North Korea.
It is advisable to be aware of escalating tensions with North Korea, who have threatened the United States and Australia with nuclear war. South Korea has said that they would quadruple the reward they will pay for North Korean defectors who will share information which will help enhance security.
