On 16 July, thousands of people protested against a draft bill of the Law and Justice party (PiS), that would allow the government to replace Supreme Court judges outside of the Supreme Court building and the Parliament in Warsaw. The protests took place at Market Square in Krakow, in Szczecin, Poznan and other cities in the country. Protesters have pledged to demonstrate outside the Parliament until 18 July for the bills debate.
Those operating or residing in Poland are advised to anticipate further protests outside of the Parliament building in Warsaw until 18 July. Whilst protests are expected to remain peaceful and to pass without incident, due to the volume of those expected to attend it is advisable to avoid overly large crowds during this time. Monitor local media for more information concerning the protests and plan your travel accordingly. Follow all directives issued by local authorities.
