Anticipate heightened security at airports
A government spokesperson has announced that in the wake of a noticeable increase in crime in and around Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport (JNB/FAOR), additional police officers have been deployed to the area. A new task force has also been established specifically to reduce crime rates at the airport.
Those who plan to fly to or from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport (JNB/FAOR) are advised to anticipate heightened security and expect possible associated disruptions. If you are a victim of crime, do not resist as it is likely that criminals will be armed.
