South Korea: Planned Rally in Seoul on 24 June
Up to 6000 expected to attend demonstration
A demonstration has been planned to take place in Seoul on 24 June. According to reports, the rally against the Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) deployment, was initially scheduled to be held near the US Embassy. However, police forces have warned organisers not to do this. The protest is expected to be confined to Seoul Square Market. Up to 6000 people may attend. Localised disruptions should be anticipated.
Those operating or residing in Seoul are advised to be aware of the planned protest on 24 June. Expect the associated disruptions to travel in the vicinity of Seoul Square Market and plan your travel accordingly. Similar protests may take place in other urban hubs.
