Spain: Taxi Drivers to Strike Across the Country on 29 June
Plan your travel accordingly as taxi drivers strike nationwide
Unionised taxi drivers are planning to strike across all of Spain on 29 June, except in Madrid, to protest against ride hailing apps. In Barcelona, taxi drivers will strike from 06:00 local time for 24-hours. They will also march from Placa de la Universitat to Sant Jaume at 11:00 local time and hold a go-slow protest on roads AP-7 and C-58 at 18:00 local time.
Those operating or residing in Spain are advised to anticipate disruptions to taxi services and possible delays to overland travel on 29 June. Allow additional time for travel and plan your journey accordingly in order to avoid delays.
