Syria: US Accuses Assad Regime of Preparing Another Chemical Attack
White House warns of another possible chemical attack
The White House in the United States has accused the Assad regime of preparing to carry out another chemical weapons attack on its people, similar to the one in April which killed 89 people. This came after the US identified potential preparations made by the regime for a Sarin attack. The US stated, “as we have previously stated, the United States is in Syria to eliminate the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. If, however, Mr. Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price.” There was no further detail given of how the US would respond to a fresh attack. If imminent, the attack would coincide with the end of Eid.
It is reminded to avoid all travel to Syria due to wealth of threats and the extreme instability of the country. Avoid all border regions with Syria.
