An unknown number of fatalities and injuries have been reported after a huge fire engulfed the large Grenfell tower block in West London. The blaze hit the 27-storey building in the early hours of this morning. Locals have reported that they saw people jumping from the building in attempts to flee the flames. 200 fire-fighters are currently working to bring the blaze under control. There are fears that the building is now so unstable and badly damaged that it will collapse.
Those operating or residing in proximity to Latimer Road in Notting Hill are advised to be aware of ongoing operations. Avoid the Grenfell Tower and all roads surrounding it. Reroute your travel plans to avoid delays to your journey. Monitor local Transport for London (TFL) for updates concerning which overland travel routes may have been affected.
