Manchester Airport has been evacuated after a suspicious bag was found. The airport's terminal three has been shut down and is being searched. The airports official Twitter account confirmed that, “Due to a potential issue with a bag in Terminal Three, a precautionary evacuation is taking place while further investigations take place.” Police have confirmed that a bomb squad was deployed to the airport.
Those planning to fly to or from Manchester are advised to be aware of possible delays to flights due to an evacuation. Reconfirm all flight schedules with booking agents or airline representatives before setting out. Monitor local media for more information and follow all directives issued by local authorities. Report any suspicious packages, behaviour or activity to the authorities and remain vigilant.
