AQAP encourage attacks on trains and transportation

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) have released their 17^th issue of its Inspire Magazine, dedicating it to inciting train derailment. The issue addresses how to impact the transportation sector, reviews of the economic impact, details designs and instructions for fabricating a derail tool and provides major passenger train routes in the United States. The magazine outlines that followers can choose from one of three modes of attack; they can directly target the train from “either inside or from outside,” or target “the rail itself so as to derail the train,” or assault train stations, which “are always crowded and cause major interruption towards the transportation system.” The latest issue focuses mainly on the second means of attack, providing readers with step-by-step instructions for building a train derailment device.
