EOS Risk Group and Optimum Speciality Risks announce a new cyber agreement for commercial and cyber insurance policies

EOS Risk Group (EOS) and Optimum Speciality Risks (OSR) are pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement which sees EOS providing an innovative cyber overlay for all OSR’s cyber policies.

An innovative data breach monitoring and alert service will be integrated into in every policy issued to OSR’s customers.  This ground-breaking development provides additional cover for the insured and doesn’t require any IT skills to install.  The service acts in real-time to provide OSR’s insured customer with an immediate alert as soon as a potential breach has been detected, giving them meaningful context and source attribution of where the breach has occurred. Furthermore, the service will be provided at no additional cost to the customer.

David Johnson, CEO of EOS commented, ”This is a really exciting development for us and an important part of our strategy to provide innovative services.

In this connected world we are seeing cyber risk increase for everyone – you don’t have to be a huge enterprise to be target or suffer a breach.  Our breach alert service is the first step for us in developing scalable and         cost-effective cyber services for SME companies through our strong links with the insurance sector.”

Cutting edge technology will power EOS’s cyber threat intelligence platform and represents a real change in cyber policies, making them work for the insured customer right from the start of the policy.

Sean Yeo, Managing Director of OSR said, “We are striving to bring the best possible value to our supporting brokers and end customers across all of our polices. Cyber policies need to evolve with the emerging and       ever-changing threats.  We all know it’s hard to avoid these attacks, but this new and innovative alert service gives the insured customer the opportunity to mitigate the effects of a breach as soon as it happens.

The agreement will see a close collaboration between EOS and OSR, with the initial proposition being aimed at the SME sector in the UK and in other territories.
