Four arrested on suspicion of engaging in terrorist activities

Bahrain’s chief of terror crime prosecution has confirmed that the authorities have busted a terror call and arrested multiple Hezbollah-linked suspects. An investigation has been launched into the illegal organisation, which aims to stall the law, prevent the state from exercising its responsibilities, assault personal freedom and harm national unity. Four people have been detained and accused of engaging in terrorist activities funded by Hezbollah, who are backed by Iran.

Those operating or residing in Bahrain are advised to avoid loitering near to protest-flashpoints, including the Budaiya Highway corridor, Farouq Junction and Shia villages near Manama. Report any suspicious packages, behaviour or activity to the authorities and remain vigilant. Avoid concentrations of security forces and checkpoints.
