France: Anti Macron Protests Planned on 19 June
Nationwide anti-Macron protests possible on 19 June
The left-wing Front Social group, have called for a protest against the government of Emmanuel Macron on 19 June. The protest is expected to take place in front of the entrance to the Tuileries Garden on Place de la Concorde in Paris, at 18:00 local time. It is expected to be coincided by a number of similar demonstrations in more than a dozen cities, including Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Strasbourg.
Those operating or residing in France are advised to be aware of anti-Macron demonstrations in the capital and in other cities on 19 June. Protests often descend into violence in France, with the police using tear gas to supress demonstrators. Avoid all large crowds and gatherings of people, due to the credible risk of protest related violence and incidental detention by the authorities.
