Burning tyres and blocked roads as residents protest in Boke
Residents in Boke are reportedly barricading roads and burning tyres across the city in protest against recent power cuts and levels of pollution. Additional security forces, including riot police, have been deployed to the city in order to quell the unrest.
Those operating or residing in Boke are advised to anticipate heightened security and associated disruptions in the city. Avoid all large crowds due to the credible threat of protest related violence and clashes with security forces. Leave the vicinity and seek safe shelter if tensions continue to escalate.
