India: Separatists Call for Protests in Jammu and Kashmir
Expect disruptions to travel on 24 February
The separatist All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called on supporters to stage shutdown strikes and protests across Jammu and Kashmir state, including in Anantnag, Baramulla, Kulgam and Sringar districts. The protests will take place from 12:45 local time on 24 February. Further information is not yet available.
Those operating or residing in India are advised to be aware of the planned protests on 24 February. Expect heightened security and major disruptions to travel during this time. Avoid all demonstrations due to the credible risk of protest-related violence.
