Israel: Rockets Fired from Egypt Hit Open Area in Eshkol Regional Council
Rockets fired from Egypt
Military officials have announced that two rockets fired from Egypt’s North Sinai governorate have hit an open area near Neve in the Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries, causalities or damage were reported. The attack comes one day after an Israeli drone strike killed four Islamic State (IS) militants in Egypt. Additional rocket attacks in the near-term should not be ruled out.
Those operating or residing in Israel are advised to be aware of the ongoing conflict threat that the country faces from a number of different enemies. Members of both Islamic State and the terrorist group Hamas continuously seek to cause direct harm to Israeli citizens and infrastructure. Follow the advice of the Israeli security forces and remain alert for siren warnings. Seek immediate shelter in response to the incoming rocket siren indicated by a rising a falling tone and remain there for at least ten minutes.
