US Consulate in Lahore Issue Security Message
The US Consulate in Lahore has issued a security message to advise that there is a heightened threat of a terrorist attack taking place in the city and throughout the rest of Punjab. Recently, there has been a substantial increase in terrorist activity in Pakistan, with two major attacks in Lahore in the past ten days.
Those operating or residing in Pakistan are advised to maintain a heightened sense of security and to take the appropriate measures to enhance their personal security at all times, due to the serious threat of kidnapping and terrorist violence in the country. Be aware of the potential for both indiscriminate and planned coordinated terror attacks to take place. Take particular care when in proximity to areas populated with westerners.
