Russia: Police Conduct Counter-Terror Raids in Krasnodar and Vladimir
Two suspected Islamist militants shot in counter-terror raids
The Federal Security Service (FSB) has indicated that at least two suspected Islamist militants, from an unnamed Central Asian country, have been killed during a counter-terror raid in Vladimir Oblast. In a separate operation, several other suspected militants were arrested, with bomb-making materials seized, during a raid in Krasnodar Krai.
Terrorist activity, carried out by both separatist and extremist religious groups and individuals, does pose a risk across Russia. Report any suspicious packages, activity or behaviour to the local authorities and remain vigilant.
