Russia: Security Forces Foil Terror Plot in Moscow
IS linked individual arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack
Security forces have indicated that the authorities managed to prevent a major terrorist attack in Moscow, after they detained a 23-year-old Islamic State (IS) linked Tajikistan national, who was planning to stage a suicide bombing at an International Women’s Day rally on 8 March.
Those operating or residing in Russia are advised to be aware that terrorist activity, carried out by both separatist and extremist religious groups and individuals, does pose a risk to those in Russian. Report any suspicious packages, behaviour or activity to the authorities and remain vigilant.
