Spain: Hundreds Rally Outside of Venezuelan Embassy in Madrid
Anticipate further anti-Maduro protests at Venezuelan Embassy
At least 200 people have gathered outside of the Venezuelan Embassy in Madrid, on Calle de Hermosilla 58, under a heavy police presence to protests against Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro’s policies. A small group of pro-Maduro supports staged a counter demonstration near-by. There were no reports of any clashes or arrests. Further protests of a similar nature should not be ruled out.
Those operating or residing in Madrid are advised to anticipate further anti-Maduro demonstrations in the near-term. Follow local media for more information about any possible protests and plan your travel accordingly to avoid all demonstrations.
