At least 24 people have been injured following an explosion at the King Mongkut Hospital on Ratchawithi Road in central Bangkok. The cause of the blast is suspected to have been a bomb, after authorities found explosive residue and remnants of a battery and electrical wires at the blast location. Investigations remain ongoing.
Those operating or residing in Bangkok are advised to be aware of the explosion at the hospital. Anticipate heightened security measures in the near term and reroute your travel to avoid this location. Report any suspicious packages, activity or behaviour to the local authorities and remain vigilant.
